As winter draws to a close the lakes begin to thaw and the snow sitting atop the vast mountain range melts and decends towards the foot of this familiar trail. Now is the time for eager racers to take advantage of the conditions with a quick jaunt around the frozen lake, crossing not one but two unique bridges and traversing fresh tarmac laid specially for the event.
