Technically, Laguna Gaviota is a racetrack built on a peninsula, but the founders wanted its name to be a representation of the surrounding natural beauty. The 'seagull lagoon' is still present to the west, and gulls can be found resting on the islands the circuit is founded on. Laguna Gaviota is fast, she flows, and has some aggressive elevation changes, mainly in the 'Reverse Corkscrew' at T5/6, and a 'Spiral' inspired comlex at T14-15.
